Some interesting facts about the Spanish language
Spanish or Español, the official languages of the Kingdom of Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru,
Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador,
Costa Rica and Panama, as well as the de facto official languages of. Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and

Equatorial Guinea. Approximately 489 million people speak this native language.

As one of the Neo-Latin languages, Spanish also derived from common Latin, but, in addition to the
Latin, Arabic was also a major influence. According to some accounts, the Spanish capital Madrid
got its name in the 8th century when the Rio Manzanares was called "al Magrit" in Arabic,
which means "source of water". The area around the river was first called Mairit, meaning
"water", then Magherit, meaning "place of water", then Matrit and finally Madrid,
the name of the Spanish capital, still known today.
In Spain and most Spanish-speaking countries in South America, children's names are traditionally
consist of several parts, first names and several surnames, with the first surname
